Content of the workshop
Public administrations worldwide face challenges in modernization through organizational change and digital transformation. A key issue is the shortage of digitally skilled professionals, as digital competencies are essential fortransformation efforts and critical for digital government research and practice, especially along the hype of AI applications. This track fosters dialogue between researchers and practitioners on the competencies public sector employees and collaborators need to drive digital transformation, and efficient methods for imparting these competencies.
A holistic approach to digital competencies is vital for innovation and transformation in the public sector. Thus, exploring effective education strategies for current and future professionals is essential.

The Digital Competencies track evaluates the state of digital competencies in the public sector and presents research to advance competency development.
